Privacy Policy

When you register a synagogue account, we collect:

• Synagogue name — displayed on your TV screen
• Rabbi name — used for account identification only, not displayed publicly
• Email address — used to send your magic dashboard link and account notifications
• Location coordinates — rounded to 2 decimal places, used to calculate accurate zmanim
• Timezone — used for accurate time calculations
• Uploaded media — logos and photos you upload to display on your screen

Street address: If you provide a street address during signup to help generate coordinates, it is used only for that one-time lookup and is not saved with your account.

• We do not collect payment information (no paid plans yet)
• We do not track individual visitors to your TV screen
• We do not collect any information from congregants who view your screen
• We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes

• To calculate and display accurate zmanim for your location
• To send your dashboard magic link and account-related emails
• To display your uploaded logo, photos, and content on your registered screen
• To improve the Service during beta testing

We use the following third-party services to operate Zmanim.TV:

• Hebcal — for zmanim calculations (location coordinates are passed to their API)
• OpenWeather — for 7-day weather forecasts (location coordinates are passed to their API)
• OpenStreetMap — for the coordinate preview map during signup

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data passed to them.

Your account and uploaded media are retained while your account is active. One automatic deletion policy applies:

• Accounts not activated within 24 hours of signup are deleted automatically
• After email verification, accounts are not automatically deleted for TV inactivity.
